Vivi’s world shatters once again when the Portal Plague kidnaps her best friend. She’s determined to save him, even if that means jumping headfirst into a secret intelligence network she knows nothing about. The network, comprised of the princesses from the five kingdoms, is spearheading the investigation to find the hundreds of missing people taken by the portals. 

The network’s goals are two-fold: Track down the serial killer they think started the Portal Plague, or, failing that, find the legendary Reaper’s Lyre, an insanely powerful artifact that went missing a thousand years ago.

There’s more than one secret for Vivi to uncover, and betrayal lurks around every corner. Even with half the princesses against her, Vivi will stop at nothing to rescue her best friend and heal the gaping chasm of grief in her soul.
